I'm Elie: a native French speaker, lifelong teacher, and creative helper living between Europe and Canada. I help curious humans learn French with heart, and reconnect with their imagination.

I've been teaching French since 2009, in classrooms, around kitchen tables, and across time zones. I hold a Master's degree in Language & Literature Education, currently teach at university, and am a certified TEF and DELF examiner, with years of experience helping learners find their voice in French.
I'm also a creative helper. After four years of transformative solo travel, I'm convinced that imagination isn't a luxury: it's a compass. Through my workshops and one-on-one sessions, I blend deep human connection with the power of imagination, so you can make things, take risks, and surprise yourself.
Whether you come to me for the subjunctive or for a creative awakening (or both, it happens), you'll find the same thing: warmth, structure, and a firm belief that you have more in you than you think.

“Color your life, outside the lines.” Imagination Class is a four-session workshop series for small groups: a warm, judgment-free room where you get to play again and remember who you are.
Each session blends different methods for reconnecting with oneself, then creating an outline, characters, and universes that speak to your heart. Living authentically to write authentically; writing authentically to live authentically. There is nothing to prepare and no experience required. You don't need to be “creative” to come: you only need to be curious. Session by session, you'll loosen your grip on perfection, follow your own strange and wonderful ideas, and build a story you can keep.

Some projects need a deadline. Others need a witness. Creative Advisor is one-on-one guidance for the moments when your idea is real but the path is foggy.
In our sessions, I listen closely and help you see the story already inside you, the one ready to come to light. People bring me books they're not writing, careers they're quietly reimagining, travel plans stuck in "someday," video games full of code but missing a story, lives that need more color. Whatever you're carrying, it's welcome here.
French, taught like a living language, not a list of rules. Since 2009 I've helped hundreds of learners speak with confidence, from absolute beginners to advanced students polishing their style.
Choose conversation groups for lively, supportive practice, or private lessons shaped entirely around you. Preparing for the TEF or DELF? As a certified examiner, I know exactly what the jury listens for, and how to get you ready without losing your love of the language.
Every student receives a personalized learning book: a living document I build for you as we go, gathering your vocabulary, your patterns, your progress. It becomes your own portrait of the language.
Some texts just need to be correct. Others need to sound like you. I translate from English and Spanish into French, and I proofread and edit French texts of all kinds, with a literary sensibility and an examiner's precision.
Websites, applications, academic work, training and course content, novels or short stories, letters that matter: I treat every text as if it had to live in the world, because it does. You'll get clean, natural French that respects your voice.

Elie takes you on a discovery of yourself with her training and exercises. She understands what it is like for a writer to face a blank page but see a way through it. I enjoyed the course and I always looked forward to it. Her imagination exercises were enjoyable and opened up a part of myself. She has given me hope that I can follow my writer's dream.

Thank you so much for the lesson today. Even though it was introductory, that was one of the best French lessons I have ever had. I am very grateful for your help and really like how you correct the mistakes I make as I speak in a practical way. I would really really appreciate if we are able to continue. I can already tell that the lessons with you are also very useful practically in a way other teachers are not. It's so hard to find French teachers of similar level to you (with the same English proficiency and teaching style especially) so I would really like to be able to continue our lessons.
